“I don’t want to talk about me! Nope! I want to talk about you! You’re people. I love people. Baron needs people. Did I say I love people? Well. I do. I love just about everything about people. People are cuddly. People are cute. People have laps. You know what a good cat like me can do with a lap? Yes! Sit in it. Come right on in to my castle and sit down. Make me a lap – a lap – a lap!”

“All right – if you insist – I’ll tell you about me. I’m a round-faced tabby guy with a nice white bib. I always wear my bib just in case there is sloppy but delicious food to eat. I like food almost as much as I like people – not quite – but almost. I’m soft. I guess I’m cuddly. If you say so, I’m cuddly. I get to cuddle you, right?"

"Full disclosure – I’m not very old, but I was out and about more than I should have been. It seems I now test positive for both FIV and FLV - viruses – not good. Don’t be alarmed. I’m quite healthy, and I intend to stay healthy because I’ve got living to do – and loving to do. Perhaps you have another cat who also has these viruses – who’s lonely, wants a friend, someone to play and chase and giggle with? I can do all that. Or I can be your friend, play, chase, and giggle with you! I just mustn’t ever go back outdoors. Why would I want to? I wouldn’t.”

"Come visit the Baron in his castle. Barons have castles, you know. Like earls and princes and counts and other odd royalty. This Baron, however, would prefer living in your house or apartment or condo to his present castle. Food is good here, but the floor is a little cold. And – oh dear – there aren’t enough people to hug often enough. Sure, folks stop by, and give me a lap now and then. But I want my lap – a forever lap. I’m a mushmellow, a marshmallow, a muskmelon, a guy. A great tabby guy. A total sweetheart. $100 takes me home, away from my castle, into your lap. I like it. I love it. Baron the tabster; Baron the sweetheart. Me!"
