No, I’m not just a Japanese water color; I’m a real cat! I have the classic calico patches –pure white, black, and orange, and I do the “Paint Me” pose – back toward you but face turned, too. That’s so you can make the most of my artistic lines. Of course, if you’d like me to model for a few gracious water colors, I’d love to. Do, please, paint in the margins a few butterflies for me to gaze upon.

I declare myself a work of art, but I am also the sweetest, most loving cat you could ever hope to meet. I don’t just love people; I like to love people. When I stand up to put my arms around your shoulders, you’ll see I’m a long, tall stretch of cat love, too. The only thing that’s softer than the toys I like to play with is my fur. I’m just sleek – and slick, that’s all.

Want to hear more? Sure. Well, I was doing my best to be above it all when my rescuer took me to see the veterinarian, but I heard the vet tell her, “Sadie is a very smart cat. She takes everything in, looks around, figures it out.” Puffed up my girl ego! As for other cats, truthfully, I can take them or leave them. If there’s some soft child being terrorized by one of the “alphas” around here, I’ll step in and say, “Stop it. That’s not nice.” I’d make a good den mother for a few unruly Cub Scouts, I suppose. But if a cat is just stupid and pushy and a general jerk, well, then, I just have to swat her down a peg or two. All in all, I’d as soon consort with some smart humans. In other words, don’t be a stupid, pushy jerk with Sadie. But you wouldn’t – I’m a total love. I’d be a perfect family member, a perfect friend. $100 for my room and board, and I’ll warm your feet, warm your heart, and inspire your art to new levels.
