Ahmeeo! I’m here. I greet you in my best young girl cat “Please notice me – I am here” voice.” Why should you notice me? Because I am pretty? I am pretty. I’m a well-defined calico girl – my black is pure black, my orange is pure orange, and my white is kept most clean – by me. I’m not diluted or blurry or hesitant. People could almost play checkers on my patchwork back – if I would stop moving long enough. But I won’t.
I’m not hesitant about who I am, either. I am Tasmyn – a modern lady, small and smart. I may have come from the chorus of “The King and I”. “In these dreams I've loved you so, That by now I think I know, What it's like to be loved by you….” Tasmyn is small and dainty, but she is not hesitant about what she wants. She wants to be loved and held – but not too much for too long – because she does have her own life she wants to create.
Tasmyn says, “Yes, I am hesitant about all these other cats. I have never seen so many cats. And most of them are bigger than me. I know, people are bigger than me, too. But people share food with me. Excuse me a bit while I hiss that black and white guy who is looking at me. Oh, and hiss that tortie who is strolling by, too. See? If I hiss them, they will believe I am fierce, even though I’m not. I hope so.”
I think I’d be happier just living with my people, no other cats – I think. Probably not a great big herd of people, either. A couple of you would be so nice, even just one of you. I’m friendly, kind, determined, quite smart, and a well-designed calico girl. It seems I had some people once. They weren’t nice like you. They threw me out the door, said, “Hit the road, Jack, and don’t you come back no more, no more….” That’s more than rude. That’s mean, especially to a fine, pure, clean little young girl cat. And my name’s not even Jack. It’s Tasmyn.
My people, my people. Where are you? Please come to Feline Rescue soon and find me. Bring along $100 so I can leave with you. The food here is great. The people are kind. But, oh dear, the place is full of cats!
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
