Tigerhead. “Did my name get your attention? See, I’m not gorgeous or outspoken or flashy. Fact is, I’m afraid I might be a little homely. So I thought I’d better get your attention right away. A marketing guru told me I had ten seconds to reel you in. I’m Tigerhead. I hope you’re listening.”
Here’s my elevator speech. (Get ready to invest.) I’m a mellow fellow, not yellow, just mellow. A little brown, a little grey, a little white. Do you ever have times when all you want is someone to whom you can tell your troubles? Someone who won’t rush in to solve your problems? Just someone who will let you get it out, maybe even let you whine a little? I am He. Me. Tigerhead. You can even cry if you need to – just try not to get the fur all wet, OK?
Me. Tigerhead. Yes, the Head is a little big for the Cat, but it matches the Heart. Have I sold you yet? More. “Come on over and scratch my neck….Oh, yeah…scratch more….and more. Feeling so much better already, aren’t you? A little Tigerhead neck scratching and all is well in my world – and yours.”
“It is good to be me. A bit of a ‘used cat’, sure, but I’m not all that old, maybe 2 to 4, just used – and wise. If I were all handsome and sassy and full of myself – not that I’m saying any of my neighbors are….but….well, you wouldn’t want to count some of them. With me, you can. You can.”
Still paying me some attention? I am pleased. I’m a true and mellow friend. I can play with the best of them, nap with the best of them, and, OK, I can yell if I need to. But Tigerhead does not do gratuitous yelling or thumping or carrying on. He prefers that you hug him and scratch his neck when you feel like carrying on – and, of course, also when you don’t! Big Head, Big Heart, Tigerhead, Your Cat. $100 gets you the full feline, all the stock, all the assets. Thank you. Let’s go home!
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
