Fine Lady, May Be A Wizard!

“Good afternoon, fine person. Would you like to join me for some tea and biscuits? I am Sofie Rose, and I am a lady. I prefer not to sit in the sun without my hat and gloves. You see, my complexion is just so – delicately grey, delicately apricot, with occasional flecks of dazzle. I like to keep myself just so. May I pour you some tea, fine person?”

Yes, it would be loverly if you would pet my soft, pretty fur. Feel how gentle I am. See how pretty I am. I’m only about a year old, but I seem to remember a brief career as a torch singer. I had a person in my life once. I am not sure if she left me or if I left her. But I sat in the night and sang about the love I did not have. I would like to love again. I would like to be loved. I would even like to be hugged every now and then. Would you? Would you hug me?

I’m looking for a parlor. Actually, I’m not sure what a parlor is, but people tell me I would fit right in. A little lace, a little needlepoint, some straight-backed chairs and, of course, a small table for tea. Since I don’t really know what a parlor is, you could certainly take me to your living room and tell me it’s a parlor. I’d believe you, and I’d sing for you. I’m quite sweet – and I might even sit in your lap!

Yes, I have the apricot mark of a wizard on my forehead. Do I secretly do magic while sipping tea? Do I sit in the window and watch the full moon? Do I keep powerful wands under my litter box? (Oh, I shouldn’t have mentioned litter, should I? Ladies don’t talk about litter!) Wizardry? Magic? Do I? I’m afraid you’ll simply have to come to Feline Rescue with $100 and adopt me to find out. I will share my biscuits with you when you arrive. Do ask for Sofie Rose!
