Life in Full, Living Color

“Get ready. Get ready for life in full, living color because that is what we, Apricot and Snooky, are here to provide. It is our role in the universe. We are teenage cat girls, probably sisters, and we have imagination. Actually, double imagination because, in case you haven’t noticed, there are two of us. Wahoo!”

“While Apricot works on getting this door open, which she will do, let me talk about myself. I am Snooky, and I do not live in New Jersey. Never. I am a class act of a young cat. I won’t say I’m a lady, because ladies probably aren’t as curious and bold as I. But, you see, I own the world. I don’t run it or manage it; I just own it. So I need to go about the room and inspect my holdings. Got to know the territory. I’m young and fluffy – might be a bit of Maine Coon in me, maybe Siberian or Norwegian Forest. Whoever my ancestors were, they made me beautiful. Look at me and say, “Oh, yes, Snooky, you are beautiful!”

“I’m out! I’m out! I won’t say whether or not I opened the door and let myself out, but I’m out! And, wahoo, meeuu, Snooky is out, too. I’m Apricot, and it’s fine with me if she wants to own the world. I don’t. I just want to flirt and dance with this fine black and white gentleman. Oooh, you’re nice!”

“So he said his name was Craig, and he was handsome and bold. And we dove and jumped and played footsies under the blanket. And the radio played a perfect Irish jig - “Kitty O’Neill” – really, that was the name – and we danced and burbled and flipped our tails. Wahoo!”

“And – then he dumped me. I mean, he dumped me! Upside down, on my back, he dumped me. The music ended and off he went. Heartbroken? Are you kidding? I’m a sassy young woman. I may be wiser and older now – but – I shall wait for him to stroll by. Hah! And then I will dump him! Upside down, feet in the air. Hah!”

We are Snooky and Apricot. We are probably sisters. Snooky owns the world. Apricot is smart and sassy and waiting to move away from here. We want to be your Cat Women. We have imagination. We are full color, and we live in full color. We think people are fun stuff. Wahoo! How about $200 to take us away from here? Then we’ll see who is heartbroken! Not us.
