|
We are about eight months old, just ready to enter the Ivy League. Now, not Harvard or Yale – too much work, we think – but Dartmouth might be good. Notice Tucker’s fine pinstripes – a fine set of well-tailored fur. “Why, thank you. Thank you very much.”
We confess: our mom was a proverbial stray cat. We weren’t born with silver spoons at all, no, ma’am. We earned our way through prep school doing stagings for a realtor in Minnetonka. Really. That’s where Tonka got his name. She’d have us pose on a mauve damask sectional, just in front of the window looking out over the lake. We’d curl our excellent tails. The pictures sold every home we ever worked. True.
Well, OK, that was fun. Now, could we ride on your shoulders? One at a time? Sure, we can do that. We like people. We like you. We purr with rhythm and class – yes, we do. If you like us, too, we think we’d like to go home with you. We’re ready to settle down with our people. And we don’t need mauve damask. Not at all. Still camping out on your grad school futon? Wonderful – we’ll join you – and our fine grey fur will make that old futon look just like new. Really.
Please watch carefully. Tucker tried out for Cirque de Soleil. He snags the jingle ball with just one claw and shakes it all around. Then he makes a one-pawed grab of the fake mouse, flings it in the air, and spoils Fuzz’s plan for a home run. Tucker would prefer to play baseball to all that trapeze stuff – but he can do it all. Tonka claims to be a remarkable chef. And you know what? For just $200, you can have these fine young gentlemen cuddling with you in your home. Your own ball club, your own theater. Right there – on that old Marimekko futon. “How do we do?” “Just fine, thank you.” Tonka and Tucker true brothers forever.
PS: We currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about us, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
