Howdy y'all, I'm Tex. I'm still a young fellow but spent some hard times out on my own, traveling the countryside, living off the land. Then last winter, when the weather turned cold, some downright friendly folks brought me to Feline Rescue. Look at me now: I'm strong, healthy, and mighty handsome too (if I may say so myself). I dusted myself off and got back in the saddle— and now I'm ready to ride on out of this place.

It's not bad here, but you know what they say: the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. How's the grass at your place? No grass? Carpet's good. Hardwood will do.

I'd love to live anywhere I could run and play. I love to sprint after balls, chase mice, and play hide n' seek. You see, this kennel is no place for a guy with such long legs and athletic build. I get restless and lonely here in this cage. It's time I moved on.

While I don't always get along well with other cats, I hit it off with all sorts of people (big ones, small ones, any ones). I like to be in on the action — especially if your action involves petting me, scratching my chin, or waving feathers at me. I'm pretty snuggly and affectionate for a big, strong cowboy. I'll show you that I'm happy with my sweet, gentle purr.

When the going gets tough and I start to feel lonely here, I just tell myself, "C'mon Tex, cowboy up! Get back out there, turn up the charm, and find you a forever home!" If you share my can-do attitude and lust for life, we might just be meant for each other. So come on down and check me out! I can't wait to get the heck out of Dodge and into your neck of the woods.
