Tiny Lady With Tiny Feet

“How do you do? I am Bebe. I am a tiny lady with tiny feet. My front feet don’t have claws. I wish they did because, with claws, I could climb higher and higher and pretend that I am an eagle. Not that an eagle would believe that I’m a relative. More likely, an eagle would believe that I’m a snack – which I do not intend to be. No, no, never!”

“I intend to be dear close friends with a new wonderful person – perhaps my new wonderful person is you? My tiny, dainty lady self with tiny feet loves full-sized people – not too many all at once, but full-sized people who like purring and nuzzling and sitting together. Small people – I believe you call them children? I call them kittens! Like kittens, they’re cute – but they squeal and fly about the rooms. And, like kittens, they grab other folks’ tails. Bebe is a lady; she does not do such things!”

Bebe rolls over, looks winsome, gives you her little smile. Bebe carefully washes her face whenever she’s eaten food. Bebe is a tiny, dainty white and tabby woman, maybe a year old – or two. Bebe even covers her nose when she sneezes! Then she washes her face – again. Bebe is a lady, but she is an affectionate lady. She admits to her eagle fantasy. She wants to be up high, just in case these other cats are not ladies and gentlemen.

“Let me tell you, some of them are definitely not! Those guys downstairs keep singing dirty limericks. Really, they do! I am only here because the people I had moved away to some other state – perhaps a place where guys don’t sing such songs. But they didn’t take me. How about you take the tiny, dainty lady Bebe away from all the ruckus? I would love to live with you, sit by you, talk to you, listen to you. I don’t take up much space, and I’m polite and friendly. Polite, friendly small lady – hoping to join your life for $100. Not much for a little sweetheart!
