“Hey! Hey! Hi! I’m Gillmore, young classic orange tabby, and I am searching for interesting mischief. If you have some, invite me over. I’ll help. I looked myself up in Wikipedia and didn’t find myself. I found some old Civil War General named Quincy Adams Gillmore. He was definitely not me. Quincy?? I don’t think so. So I am me. I am Gillmore. The only Gillmore. The best Gillmore ever. I say so.”
“Come over here and watch! I’ll guess you’ve never seen a cat who does ballet with his tail before. Watch the tail. Watch the long, long tail with the white tip and the well-formed stripes. Watch it move and sway in time with the radio’s music. I am Gillmore. I do not dance. My tail dances. My tail is amber waves of grain! It’s amber. It waves. It does performance art. Why, my tail is America the Beautiful! I am Gillmore the Beautiful.”
Gillmore likes chin scratches. Gillmore is curious. He looks out the door and out the windows, and he talks about what he’s seeing. “Moow? Moww! Mrrp!” He follows people. “Moow? Got food? Got Gillmore food? Want to play?” Gillmore is friendly. “Mrrp!”
“Come down here on the floor! Play with me! Roll with me! I need a friend. I need people. Mowwp!”
I’m cute, charming, handsome, and entertaining. How about a little more tail art? There was a young lady here for a couple of days. She was sooo cute. Little thing, black face and tail. She liked me. She liked me a lot! We had such a flirtation going – sniffed each other, you know, waved our tails, all that good cat stuff. But she got herself adopted – just like that. And away she went with her forever people.
So, good people: it’s time for Gillmore to get himself adopted and ride off into the sunset with his forever people. You just might be my forever people.
“May I follow you and ask for food? Mowwp? Come down here and bring $100 to cover the cost of some mischief I found at Feline Rescue. Come roll with me! Take Gillmore home! Mowwp.”
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
