“Hello, I am Bailey, a good, kind, soft grey tabby. I’m small and pretty quiet compared to the rest of the crowd at this tavern. All this singing and dancing and whooping it up! Everyone stops by and says, ‘Oh, Bailey, what a sweet little girl face you have, Oh, Bailey! Don’t you want to come out and dance?’ And I say, ‘Oh, maybe later.’”

“Here’s the truth: my life hasn’t been great thus far. I’m just a young woman, I think about a year old, maybe two. I do remember some people, but, one day, they were gone. I was all alone in a house. The doors were all locked, and some fellow came and pounded up a sign that said ‘Foreclosed’. I don’t know what that means. ‘People Gone. Good Luck Cat.’ Maybe that’s what it means. I was hungry. I was pregnant. My babies were born, but they all died. Maybe that’s what ‘Foreclosed’ means. An angel – actually, I think, a real estate agent with wings – found me and brought me here. Thank you, angel.”

Bailey would like to start over. She doesn’t know what ‘Foreclosed’ means, but, whatever it means, she wants no part of it ever, ever, ever again. Bailey is good, and she is kind. She purrs softly and loves to pounce and bounce with the red tail toy. That’s enough for Bailey; she doesn’t need to get down on the tavern floor and boogie with the crowds.

“That orange dude came up here and flirted with me. Right into my cubicle – jumped right in! I sniffed his behind; he sniffed mine. Then I remembered – day before yesterday, he was doing the same flirty stuff with Amelia. She got adopted. He’s just doing ‘love the one you’re with’, that’s all – and mooching my food. ‘Hissss!’ I say. ‘Hissss!’ he says. Now we’ve been properly introduced. Goody.”

Bailey wants her new life. Bailey deserves a new, good, kind, loving life. Bailey wants real people. Bailey knows how to chirp and purr when people friends pet her. How about becoming Bailey’s forever people friends? How about $100 for her room and board – even if the orange dude ate some of it? How about Bailey?

PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
