Charming, Laidback, Well-Adjusted

“Hello, hello! I am Beau, and I am seeking a new career and a new home. How’s that for a simple elevator speech? As you can see, I am a handsome young gentleman. I have prominent “lynx tufts” atop my fine, handsome ears. So I thought I might fit in at the Minnesota Lynx. But the Lynx all said, ‘Listen, guy, we are women. You’re a guy. And you’re a cat guy, too. So we don’t think so.’ I said, ‘Do you need, maybe, a mascot?’”

“Well, I tried. I’m still trying. I had a home, but my person moved somewhere that didn’t allow me to go along. As you can see by the fine tiger pin stripes on my fine cat legs and my very white shoes, I was, in my previous career, an investment banker. I wasn’t greedy or ruthless. Really. I only originated, sold, and bought clean, green securities – no junk bonds, no mysterious credit derivatives. But my little boutique firm put more money than it should have into something called Solyndra. Ooops!”

So here I am – a handsome, well-mannered articulate fellow with a dramatic blaze on my nose – seeking a new career. Does your company, your school, your home need a spokesperson? I look good in commercials and print ads. Does your sofa or overstuffed chair need some decoration? Or, maybe, you just need a good friend, a friend who is pleasant to see, soft to pet, warm in your lap. Beau could certainly fill that position.

Beau is charming, laidback, and well-adjusted. Beau likes people and mingles well. Beau promises not to mess with your investments. He is so over that life. How about $100 to Feline Rescue for the joy of taking Beau with you to his new home? They don’t let me invest the money around here, either, so I’d like to just move to my next life with you. If you offered me a tuna sandwich, I wouldn’t mind. I might even give you a hug!
