“Yes! I’m Cally – for my calico-ness, of course – and, yes, I am beautiful. At least I hope you think so. Here’s the best part: as beautiful as I am, with my coat of many colors, I am even sweeter than I am beautiful. Believe it! Come right up and find out for yourself!”
Cally is purring before you even reach her. She is looking up at you and purring away. “I love you,” she says. Cally likes to bump heads with people. In her Feline Rescue apartment, she’s just about forehead height, unless you’re a tall human. If you’re tall, just bend down a bit, and Cally will offer up her legendary head bump, purring all the while.
“I am so happy to be here and to be, at last, looking for my forever people who will take me home, cuddle me, listen to my purr, and keep me safe and warm. Hard to believe, I know. I was living with some feral friends near an office building. People brought us food, but my friends knew I wasn’t really one of them. They told me, ‘Little girl, when the humans come, we take off. But you stay here. You tell them you’re a people cat, and they’ll get you home.’”
“When the kind people saw that I’d lost most of my tail, they knew I needed help. People are wonderful. The very thought of all this kindness just makes me purr and purr. I’m not sure what happened to my tail, but my feral pals said, ‘Cally, with that tail and your black and orange coat, you look rather like a Doberman puppy!’ That I do – cute, I say, but I will never, well, slobber like a Dobe. And I won’t grow up to be a dog….”
People, people! Cally is a precious little girl who has a whole big heart full of love to give away. Cally, no matter then past, is a happy, happy girl. She wants to hug you, head bump you, purr for you and be loved, loved, loved by you. How about coming over to Feline Rescue right now with a toy for Cally and $100 for her care and rescue? Cally is The Sweetest!
