Do you sense an air of mystery about me? Despite my name,I didn’t get it from F. Scott Fitzgerald. The fellow just really was not my type. I am unquestionably a young lady – and I do mean lady in the best sense of the word – but my life was saved by fellows at a construction site. I wandered over there, just about at death’s door, because I was attracted to their hard hats – and also their lunch buckets. I was awfully hungry. They took my frail self to a good kitty doctor who healed some wounds and gave me proper kitty food.

I am mysterious not just because I have the deepest black kitten face you will ever see but because no one knows, including me, whether or not I’m a thoroughly black cat or a striped one or a spotted one. You see, the kitty healer blessed me with a Lion Cut in order to help my wounds heal. Of course, this hairstyle makes me irresistibly cute – the most “Awww....” kitty here right now. But we don’t know – and I don’t remember – what color I’ll be when my cut grows out. It worries me just a bit – what if I don’t like it? What if I say to you, “Oh, please – I’d like my Lion cut back, but with a few frosted extensions just behind my ears.” Adopt me, oh, please do adopt me, and we will both find out who I really am. Could be fun.

Some things I do know: I purr very smoothly and very regularly. If you hold me and tickle my Lion’s mane, I will just snuggle right up and purr. I am as sweet and goodhearted as a dear young kitty can be. I do not know how I got myself into such trouble, but I am so happy for everyone who got me back out.
