About Jack-O-Lantern | |
I hereby shorten my name to Jacko. I started out my time here as Jack-O-Lantern because I’m rather orange, and I arrived about Hallowe’en. But it’s not Hallowe’en any more, and I’m much more handsome than a pumpkin – especially a carved-up, scary-face pumpkin that’s been sitting around for almost 4 months. Jacko suggests my perky young style, I think. But don’t you so much as even think about that Michael Jackson in my presence. Ugh! He is not me – no way.
Who is me, then, you say? I am a dear young man, barely a year old, who came here from what must have been a rough life. I don’t remember much – that’s probably good – but I’m told I was “dumped” without ceremony or explanation at Feline Rescue. I do know that, by the time I got here, I’d decided that all people were guilty until they prove themselves innocent. “Trust No Human” became my world view. I’m not mean. I’m not aggressive. In fact, I am kind. It’s the world that hasn’t been. But I discovered some innocent people here at FR – some people who are kind like me. I have hope now. All I want, please, is really good people who will give me a really good home and show me love – lots of love.
A goodhearted guy with long, silky orange hair. A goodhearted guy who likes goodhearted cat women, especially Danielle. She’s learning to trust again, too, and we look out for each other. I’d like to trust you and look out for you, too. If you’re patient, we’ll do so well together. I’m Jacko, and I approved this message. Please do bring $100 to support my campaign and cover my hotel bill. Thank you so much!
