Young, Dignified, Thoughtful

Hi. I’m a nice young man. I’m a nice quiet young man, maybe 9 months old, and I think I’ve spent most of my nine months all alone, taking care of me. I say that was hard work, and I would like to spend my nine lives living with people who love me. That’s my simple plan – could you help out?

I’m told I’m a tuxedo cat – something about my black coat with my white bib. I’ve peeked at myself in the window glass, and I agree – I am a handsome fellow. But I still don’t know what a tuxedo is. The peachy girl cat who sometimes hangs out downstairs explained that “tuxedo” is something male people – well, usually male people – wear when they go to fancy parties or get married. I have to admit I’ve never been anywhere near any fancy parties, and I don’t think I want to get married – although the peachy girl is rather attractive.

Well, now, that’s nice – you’re scratching my head. I like that. I can’t remember that anyone ever scratched my head until I came to Feline Rescue, so I guess I like it here. Is my fur soft? You think so? You like soft fur? You like me? Wow – that’s really nice! I’m still learning about my life’s potential, I guess. I’m still learning about toys. Peachy girl told me we’re supposed to play with them, amuse ourselves, have a good time. Never had toys when I was alone – life is looking up for Toby! Toby is looking up for life! Are you my life to be?

I’m hoping, hoping. I’m soft, friendly, and ready for love. Not sure what love is, either, but I hear it’s what brings cats and people together. I like the sound of it, don’t you? I’m a dignified and thoughtful fellow. Since I’ve already got the clothes, perhaps I’ll grow up to be a judge. Would you like a judge in your life? A very mellow, reasonable judge? Toby offers himself for the job. If you show up here before the end of 2011, $100 hires me. After January 1^st, Toby’s minimum wage will be $120. Trust Toby; he is worth it!
