Step right on in to our front room suite, and listen! You’ll find me – Cadbury – right away – because you’ll hear me. Then you’ll see me – a classic black-and-white tuxedo fellow with a very long tail. Then you’ll hear more of me. Quiet is not a word you’ll probably use for me. Charming, interesting, opinionated, even colorful, are words you might use. You wouldn’t want a boring cat in your life, would you?

Now I know it says on my front door that I’m eleven years old. Listen, don’t you believe it! My inner kitten is alive and well and rolling about the floor mats chasing his own tail. Arooo! As long as my tail is, it’s pretty easy to chase. The problem is, I don’t have any front claws to catch it with. I know, I was out there walking around with no home, but some humans some time and somewhere thought that declawing me was a good idea. I don’t think so. Now I can’t catch my tail, among other things.

Aroo! Mow! Mow! Yes, ma’am, Cadbury is a preacher. Rides the circuit, spreading the word. What word? Well, whatever word comes to me at the time – like “Mow” or “Arow” or even “Yeehaw”. Maybe I learned preaching from Asbury – Bishop Asbury – not totally unlike Cadbury. Or, maybe, I was named for the confections – whichever, I’m tasty and interesting and a fine, fine fellow. So I say!

I don’t mean to hurt their feelings, but compared to me, these other cats in this suite are rather boring. They sleep all the time – except for the big orange dude who keeps staring at me. I’d stare back if I weren’t more inclined to circuit about the room and sniff, sniff, sniff. Oh, maybe I’m a truffle-hunting pig – what do you think? I think you should think about taking Cadbury home and petting his fine black-and-white fur and admiring his very, very long tail. It’s easy to do – the taking home part – just bring $120, do a little paperwork, and off we go! Mow! Mow! Arooo!
