Once upon a time, I was a tiny child princess living among some rough, feral peasants. Perhaps I was lost. Perhaps I was kidnapped. Perhaps a wicked witch cast a spell and whisked my father’s castle far, far away where I would never find it. I remember that someone rescued me from among the yowling ruffians, but I still must search for my rightful royal homeland. This perilous search brought me here. I am no fearless Princess Leia, I must admit. I am Lele, and I am scared. Frankly, I am also seriously annoyed. A princess should not have to suffer so for her realm.

When you see me, you will understand my royal heritage. I carry the full ruff of the king of the jungle, though I am a princess. You will see and hear the power of my personality. If I were to choose to do so, I could sing like Janis Joplin. That’s how strong I am. Yet I need to complete this endless journey. I do not expect to find my original castle. Perhaps, after all, it was only a dream. But I am a believer that someone has, just waiting for me, the right homeland where no ruffians roam and no witches cast spells.

Please finish my story – show me the true home of Princess Lele – take me there. There are so many cats here. I think some are ruffians; some are peasants that hiss and spit. I do not like this. It is not the proper place for this woman with the genes of the lion. The proper place for me is with you, watching serenely from your castle window as my subjects pass by. Please bring the innkeepers $100, and we shall live happily ever after. We shall.
