Pursuing Her Dream(Sicle)

Hi! I’m a DreamSicle^TM. I know – my name is “Yellow”, but I’m really white and orange and soft and furry and friendly – and I’m a girl! I know – all these other orange and white folks around here are guys. But I stand out – I’m a girl, and I’m asking right now, “Could I be your girl?” It’s about Valentine’s Day, so I think that might be appropriate, don’t you?

I came all the way from northern Minnesota – there’s snow up there – just to find you. Yes, to find you, because I’m a DreamSicle^TM, and I’m pursuing my dream. And you’re it. Yes, you betcha, I’m cute! I’m sitting up here in this window, hoping you’ll drive by, or, maybe, even get off the bus right out front, and look up and say, “Wow, there is my cat! She is lovely! She is mine! Oh, be mine, Miss Yellow!”

And you’ll come right in the door of Feline Rescue and bring $120 out of your pocket and fill out the forms (of course, we have forms) and give the forms and the money to The Adoption Coordinator, and she will say, “Oh, yes, you are Miss Yellow’s person, and she is your cat!” That’s my dream, anyway.

I’m quiet, observant, studious, loving and kind. Since I’ve been here, I’ve learned about many fun toys and tricks to do. I play. It is good. You may hold me – for a while – then I need to go study. I also need to wash myself, make sure that I’m clean, very clean, and very white. Cleanliness is next to catliness, you know.

I’m told there was a song – “Mellow Yellow” – way back long before I was born. I heard it once. Made no sense to me, none at all. And I actually don’t like saffron at all. But, if you remember the song and you want to sing it, you can. Just as long as you remember me and bring that $120 and take me home. I’m a fine and dreamy cat. I’m cute, too.
