“Hello! Hello! Notice me! Play with me? Rescue me? I just arrived here, and I’m somewhat bewildered. However, I’m not bewitched nor bothered – just bewildered. I’m less than a year old, and I think I had some people once, but they just went away and didn’t come back. That was scary. Feline Rescue is not scary. It’s warm and welcoming and kind. I just want to be sure that people notice me so I can find a really real home. Very simple.”
Tehya is a small, soft tortie woman. She says her name is pronounced Tay – Ya and that some people claim that it’s a Native American name – but it isn’t. It just sounds like one. Tehya says it’s Her Name, and she likes it, and it doesn’t mean a darn thing except sweet soft tortie Cat. And she likes you.
“I’m one of those torties that helps people meditate. Concentrate on my many colors. Concentrate on the way they blend and turn around the contours of my small Catness. Notice particularly the fine beige study on my neck, wending its way toward my front leg – the color of a gentleman’s cashmere coat – and softer, even softer. Feel your mind relax. This is tortie power.”
“Tehya, Tehya, I am me! Love me, pet me, sense my softness and my good heart. Let me curl up in a small cat ball and look at you. I talk to you. I look at you. Please notice me. Your tortie girl awaits you here. For just $120, I can be your private guru for peace and meditation. If you need a song, I will sing one. Come see me. Join me for a nap. Peaceful. Very peaceful.”
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
