“Say, would you be interested in playing feathers with a sweet, soft, very black cat with a fabulous tail? I’ve been waiting all day for someone to walk in, pick up that feathery stick, and wave it around so that I can jump way up in the air and catch those feathers! I’ll bet there’s a bird in there somewhere.”
“Did I mention that I’m the latest and the greatest, in my opinion, member of the Fabulous Tail Society here at Feline Rescue? It’s fluffy, very fluffy, waves around like feathers – and is almost as long as I am. Perhaps I will grow into my tail; I’m still a young fellow. Perhaps I’ll just always be as much Tail as I am Cat.”
I love people and food almost as much as I love feathers. Well, actually, I love people who bring me food even more than feathers. Also people who pet me and tell me, “Inky, you’re so soft. Do I hear you purring?” Of course you hear me purring; it’s what soft, sweet very black cats do.
I’ve heard people say that Inky is a bit scared. I’m not scared, and I’m not shy. Do you think I could jump after feathers like this if I were shy? I am, sometimes, worried. Worried that, somehow, I’ll wake up and find myself back in the great outdoors, all alone, with no friends, no food, and no feathers. This good fun seems like a dream. Now, honestly, I don’t like loud, sudden noises – never heard one when I was out and alone that didn’t mean trouble. So, if a door slams, and I dive for the corner, that’s why.
I know I’m lucky to be a very black cat. When I dive under and into the corner, I close my eyes and, “Magic! I become invisible!” When my sparkly eyes, with many glorious shades of yellow are open, I am definitely not invisible. I light up the room!
Here’s the simple story: Inky’s tail is fabulous. His eyes are glorious. He is soft, sweet, and chases feathers. He wants to light up your life, your space, your everything. Stop over, bring $120, pet his soft fur, and take Inky home. He says, “Wooo! Bring feathers for me! I will jump. Wooo!”
PS: I currently reside at THE ADOPTION CENTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
