“Good morning, everyone. I am Odin, and I am declaring myself to be the new CIO – that’s Chief Information Officer – of Feline Rescue. Why? Because you’ve been organizing your information the way humans do it – and we felines believe it should be organized by cat rules. And, oh yes, we do have rules, and we also Rule.”
“Please don’t get the wrong idea. Clearly, given my fine grey and white suit, I am an executive and a gentleman. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. But…I also like to settle down and purr, and I’m quite good at warming human feet – large feet, small feet, tiny feet.”
“I have well-styled short executive hair and, yes, I tend to talk about bits and bytes – as in taking good bytes out of a bowl of chicken bits, at least, if you would be so good as to bring me some. Why, thank you! How kind. Pardon me while I take a byte or two.”
“True, the original Odin was a Norse or Germanic deity that some people associate with war and hunting. Now, I’ll do a little hunting – especially of bugs – box elder bugs - I snatch them up and, maybe, eat them. But I’m more a lover and a leader than a fighter. Folks say that Odin was also a god of wisdom, magic, and poetry.
My kind of fellow – wise, magical, and, yes, I’ve been known to write poetry. What else is a fine executive to do when he’s sitting here at Feline Rescue, waiting for you to come in and adopt him? I suppose I could get out there on the floor and mix it up with Jack Jack, but I might muss up my fine suit. So, if you would, bring me another bowl of bits while I wash myself up. And hurry over with your $120 and take me home. Your life needs a well-organized executive, and your feet need a warmer. Odin is here.
If you'd like to know more about me, just stop in at the Adoption Center to meet me or leave a message for my secretary at 651-642-5900 ext. 3. She'll call you back.
