Decisive, Affectionate, Intelligent

“Well, well, well – so you actually came to see me? It’s about time someone came to see me, really see me, and not just hand me some food. Not that I don’t want food – I love food – but I’d very much like to have an intelligent, affectionate conversation with a serious person. (I have to say this quietly, but…the guy next door? I think he’s crazy. He tries to talk to me, but….) So, please, please do sit down, and let me tell you all about me. If there’s any time left, we can talk about you, of course.”

All About Me: I’m a young woman, probably two or so years. I came from northern Minnesota – up there where it’s probably still snowing….Unpleasant. Yes, I’m quite friendly. If you pet me, I will pet you back. I like to nuzzle on people, especially people who gently scratch my neck. I give you my best “blissful kitty” look when you scratch my neck.

And still I’m a strong woman with my own definite mind. Mama named me for Amelia Earhart because she knew I have that explorer’s heart and spunk. “Say, did you hear someone may finally have found out what happened to her? And did you know that she hated her freckles? I’d hate my freckles, too, if I had some. Thankfully, I don’t. I just have soft grey tortie style with occasional blends of peach and buff – no freckles

Amelia E. – much too classy for freckles! I have the fine dignity of a top model. I can do the best Bastet pose of any cat here. Perhaps I am a goddess. You could adopt me and find out. You’ll find out I’m a decisive woman – no wishy washy tail swishy with me. I say, “Yes.” I say, “No.” I say “I will” or I say “I won’t.” That’s it. That’s me. An excellent cat. A very excellent cat.

Oh, are we out of time? Perhaps you could come over again, with your $120 to pay my bills at this hotel, and then I’d love to hear all about you. Really. I am Amelia E.
