“ Good day, good people, I am Odelia. Everyone so far who has stopped at my door says, ‘Oh, my, you’re beautiful.’ And then, ‘Oh, my, I’ve never quite seen a lady like you – so exotic!’ I say all this is quite true. I call myself a Siamese Tortie – or, perhaps, a Tortie Siamese. I look at you with knowing blue eyes. Also true is that there just aren’t blue-eyed torties all over everywhere And, alas for me, I've lost my front claws.

“So, if you’ve been imagining a Cat with the poise of Queen Elizabeth, a Cat so genteel and royal that she’s quiet, polite, and soft, here I am – Lady Odelia. I am probably “old money”. Some of these flashy upstarts around here – swishing their tails and singing bawdy songs – annoy me. I think I’d prefer living with just my people – quiet, well-mannered people who love quiet, well-mannered cats. I can’t imagine myself continuing to live in this, um, cat house!”

“Please excuse me if I seem a bit cautious. I do like to be petted, to show off just how soft my exotic fur is. But I recently had an awful experience. I was dumped. Yes. Dumped – in the parking lot of this, um, cat house. Well, of course, that was rude – but, for me, just totally embarrassing. Here I am – beautiful, exotic, with the manners of the Queen – and cast aside. Silly, perhaps, but I’d very much like to try again with my new people. I believe you might be my new people?”

“I don’t do a lot of talking – ladies generally don’t. But I do know several languages – Cat, Mouse, Parakeet, and Portuguese. Why? Because I do. Because it goes with my exotic character and upbringing. How about taking me away from this, um, cat house full of swishy-tailed show-offs? How about adopting Odelia, taking me with you, letting your friends and family admire me? $120 does it. Odelia would like it. So will you. Promise.”
