Oh, I like you! And you must like me, 'cause you're talking to me and looking down into my dear little face. I like it! I'm just as cute and sweet as a girl can be - and I have a secret! I love people, but what I love most about people are their Toes! I am not pleased. I keep hearing about "winter" - whatever that means. I've not seen any people toes for quite a while now. I used to see lots of them - sticking out of bright colored sandals. Now people come in, and I scoot over to inspect their toes....and no Toes! Instead, they say, "Ebony Ann, dear sweet girl, no toes today. You'll never find them. They are hidden in several layers of socks and sturdy leather and cloth. It's winter!" I say, "No more "winter" - whatever it is! I want to see Toes!. I want to sniff them, nuzzle them, maybe even, if you're my special people, wash them a bit - if you'll let me.

Once, I somehow became what every young lady fears most - a stray. A homeless girl. I don't know how that happened, but it did. I couldn't afford a salon; I couldn't even stop long enough to groom myself well. I had to keep moving until I found safety. Feline Rescue - a heaven of angels - and its people took me in. I was, alas, a bit of an Eliza Doolittle. But no more. Professor Higgins and the entire faculty here have now raised me up to be a perfect lady. I now speak sweetly; I'll never let loose with a Cockney screech. I should say that there are a few four-leggeds around here who do sound as though they belong behind a pushcart. Not me. Never again.

I do so like you! See the way I turn my face up to you. I'm very polite, but it would be just fine if you would let me wrap my legs around your neck. Could I? I would. I'd even let you sniff my toes - if you're that sort of person. I'm young, I'm sweet, I'm rather mellow - yet also rather spritely. A sprite! I think so. "Love me, love me do!" Share a home with me - I am ready for a home. Do share $100 with these kind folks who brought me back to silky sleekness, and let me enjoy you forever. I will. I am a lady transformed - Miss Ebony Ann.
