Smart Designer Cat, Runs Hurdles

“Greetings! Get ready for a special experience. A very special experience with Me – Sprout – Designer Cat. Sure, you’ve met a tortie – maybe torbie – girl before – but not one like me. I am well-designed, lovely to look at. My white is very, very white. My black is very, very black. My many other colors are well-distributed and well-aligned. And – are you paying attention – the very tip of my tail – my special tail – is Dreamsicle Tabby – orange and white stripes – one of each color! That’s me – Sprout – Designer Cat.”

“And, no, that’s not all. I’m athletic and fearless. My rescuers say that I’m too athletic and fearless for my own good – that I once flew off the second floor balcony into the lilac bush. Well, I saw the robin do it, so….I guess I won’t be spending any time on balconies or near open windows in the future, will I? But, please, please, when you adopt me, will you get me one of those feathered bird toys so I can jump and leap indoors? I admit I’m a leaper, and let me tell you – it is so much fun!”

“I’m less than a year old, I think. I notice the jar of food here says ‘Kitten Food’. Yes, it does – this cat reads. She’s a smart Designer Cat. Listen, I survived a drug house – cat lady has to be smart to survive not so smart humans. If you want pretty and smart and athletic, Sprout is your precious cat.”

“I’ll do my best not to jump off of anything any more. But I do like to jump over things. Some of the other young cats and I were watching the Olympics. I love those hurdlers! Sprout wants to run the 200 meter hurdles. Sprout thinks these other cats would make great hurdles. I work up a furry head of cat steam, take off, and, whee, leap over every one of them! Whooeee! And when I’ve finally worn myself out, I’d like to snuggle on your bed.”

“Sprout has it all. She’s pretty more than cute. She’s a Designer Cat. She’s smart and athletic, and she thinks people are really fun. Please come visit me. Bring a feathered bird toy and $120. We’re about to have a fine life, you and me – Sprout!”
