Holy cow! I was abandoned in the park, which is not where I belong. I may look like a furry woodland creature, but I've definitely decided that the woods are not for me. Now I can say I've tried it, and roughing it is just not my style.
It was hard work out there. And by the time a person spotted me to try to rescue me, I had gone into all-out survival mode. She tried to talk to me, and I ran away. I watched as she put out food and baited a trap. "How dumb does she think I am?" I thought. So for days I watched her from a safe distance. But she kept coming back.
There's lots of competition out there- squirrels, raccoons, woodchucks, people with their picnics. I even saw a fox. The chipmunks I rather liked, but I wasn't interested in sharing their acorns (cats are carnivores). So finally I got hungry enough and decided to humor my poor rescuer by going into her trap. The tuna tasted good.
As soon as I was caught, I gave up the charade of being a woodland creature. I was sweet. I purred. I was hungry!
Now I am determined to never leave home again. First I need to find that home. I'm a sweet, little tortie kitten. Won't you take me home forever?
You can meet me at Woody's Pet Food Deli in St. Paul, where I'm hanging out with domesticated dogs and people instead of chipmunks. Call Molly for more information: 651-295-3758.
