“Hi, there, let me sing for you…’ Oh, I am just a poor boy , Though my story's seldom told …And my ears carry the reminders of ev'ry paw that layed me down…’ I know, Simon and Garfunkel sang about a fighter, a boxer, and I’m much more a lover – but some guys who were fighters did lay down my ears. And one or more of them also left me with the FIV. That doesn’t mean I’m sick – far from it – probably won’t even get sick, but I do need to be careful. And stay away from would-be ear boxers.”
“I’m as friendly as a dude can be, and I’m not all that old, either. You have a lap! Nice! I’m here to sit in it. I like people – and especially people laps and people legs. I rub legs. I sit in laps. Truth be told, I’m also a handsome guy. I say the ears give me character. I have character. Personality. All-round good guy cat stuff – I have it.”
“And, then, I have something rare and special. I have….drum roll, please….extra toes! I’m a polydactyl dude – which is pretty great all by itself – but my toes, including my extra toes, are two-toned! Grey and white – like designer mittens. Now that’s rare – and these mittens are all mine! Belong to Henry Schultz – yes, they do. OK, they do look a bit like boxing gloves – but, I tell you, I’m a lover – looking for people to love who’ll love me back.”
“Here’s how lovey and special and handsome I am. I’ve been trying to teach these young women, Tuffy and Wizard, that people – most people – are really OK – and that good, loving people are the best source of the nutritious food we need. No, I don’t know where they get it, but they bring it to us. And you know what’s happened? Little shy Tuffy is falling in love with me! I tell her I’m a bit too streetwise for her. But she says, ‘Streetwise? What do you know about streetwise? I was dumped!’ So she washes my head, and we both feel much better. Awww….”
“So, ‘I am just a poor boy…’, but I am a lover and a lap cat and a leg cat and a storyteller. $120 brings me and my fabulous feet and what remains of my ears into your life and your lap forever and ever. And – just in case it might occur to you, for a mere $225 more, you could also adopt Tuffy and Wizard, the little sisters. We’d all be happy, and you’d be sure that I would always have a clean head!”
If you'd like to know more about me, just stop in at the Adoption Center to meet me or leave a message for my secretary at 651-642-5900 ext. 3. She'll call you back.
