“Did you know that my full name is Simone-Ernestine-Lucie-Marie Bertrand de Beauvoir? As you can see, I am beautiful enough to carry all of my name with grace and style. I am what you would expect a Parisian lady to be – elegant, self-assured, and self-satisfied. I have alluring green eyes and a sense of full mystery. I apologize in advance – but – if you so much as think about calling me “Lucie”, I will have to take a paw of claws to you. It is not done. I am Simone, always Simone.”

I have now chosen to be here to await my forever people who will appreciate my excellent mind, my firm opinions and beliefs, and my beautiful black, black self.”

“I see myself soon to be the cover girl for a best-selling suspense novel. Are you a writer? Do you know Vince Flynn? I, of course, write my own novels, but they are not the sort that would feature a stunning black cat on the cover. I suppose I could write one of those, but I’d rather move in with you, eat some tuna, sit in your window and show off how shiny I am, and look mysterious.”

“So would you like to be my agent? Assist Simone-Ernestine-Lucie-Marie Bertrand de Beauvoir to become even more famous than she already is? Famous for my looks as well as my mind? Now there’s a twist! We could do this together. Just walk into Feline Rescue with $120, chanting my name, Simone-Ernestine-Lucie-Marie Bertrand de Beauvoir. The people here will understand. I am Simone, and I say I am a loyal lady – and very pleased to make your acquaintance.”
