Dude's Dude, All About Love

“Howdy, ma’am! I do hope you’re looking for a tall, self-assured grey and white fellow to love. I am Tobias, and I am certainly looking for at least one person, of any height or color, for me to love. I’ll be honest – I am lonely. I may be a dude’s dude and a guy’s guy – but I am lonely. I climb up and sit on you. I put my big, soft white paw around your neck. Am I a fine fellow? Oh, yes I am. I am Tobias!”

“I know some things about the streets, also about boxcars and railroad yards, and taking care of myself. It is a hard life, and I, no more than 3 years old, am ready for an indoor home with people to love. I heard a story about my great-great-great grandmother, way back when. They said she looked like me, and she was caught on the wheel of a boxcar. She cried, ‘Help, help!”, and she was rescued by a railroad guy. Nothing so dramatic about me, but I am still ready for a home.”

“I’m just a fine, mellow, noble guy with a round guy face – real cheeks, no weak lines for Tobias. Yes, I think my ears had frostbite – not quite so pointy as I’d like. But, you know, they give me character. And I do have character. I walk through rooms and through life with dignity and pride. I’m hearing some other cats with issues around here. Tobias does not have issues. He knows who he is. And he knows what he wants – Love! Pure, solid, simple, true human love for a pure, solid, simple, true cat dude.”

“They say that my Great-Gramma always had a crooked tail from the boxcar and that she was brave and strong and that her tail gave her character. They say, too, she lived to be 22 years old. I’d like to live that long, in your house, in your lap, with my long cat legs wrapped gently around your arm. Sigh! I can see this life. Would you have $120 to make my dream come true? Tobias – Me – Dude of Love!”
