“Yep, that’s right. I am The Lone Ranger, not the Lone Ranger. I saw a good story the other day about the importance of Capital Letters, but I’m told I can’t repeat it on this web site – something about keeping it clean. So, yep, I’m The Lone Ranger, and I do know how to keep things clean, especially my feet and all of my white fur, which is kinda wrapped around my grey fur.”
“I say I am one cool dude. I say I’m ‘an old cowhand from the Rio Grande’ – except I’m not very old – maybe 3 – 4 years, And I’m not from the Rio Grande – the St. Croix, maybe. And I’m not sure what a cow is. But doesn’t that sound good – ‘an old cowhand from the Rio Grande’? And I really am a cool dude.”
“I only tell truths – not lies – don’t know how. So – I was out there on the range, very lone on the range, for quite a while. Probably got myself in a cat fight at the OK Corral, and I picked up the FIV. So I need to move indoors, take care of myself, no more yowling and stomping with the boys all night long. All fixed up and ready to settle down.”
“I like people. I’ve learned that most people are good, most of you are fond of cats, and I’ve developed a finely-tuned rapid sense about those of you who aren’t so good. I am, as they say, comfortable in my own fur. I know who I am – The Lone Ranger – and I know what I am – A Cat. A Good Cat.”
“I like other cats, too. I even like little Tuffy with whom I’m sharing this suite. She likes me, I can tell. She’s funny looking, but she’s sweet to me. I share bowls of munchies with her. Are we dating? Well, no – I’m not allowed to do that any more. But she’s a good kid.”
So, being a straightforward fellow: would you like to adopt me? I think I’d like it if you would. Someone said the other day that I’m sort of like Charlie Chaplin - hope you’re old enough to know about him – if not, just google him – all sort of ordinary and apparently happy-go-lucky – but much wiser than I pretend to be. Think that’s true? Come on over with your $120, and let’s find out. Yep – The Lone Ranger.”
If you'd like to know more about me, just stop in at the Adoption Center to meet me or leave a message for my secretary at 651-642-5900 ext. 3. She'll call you back.
