“I am napping. I am napping. Like all felines, I am a nocturnal carnivore – a night-hunting meat eater. What we noctural carnivores do in the afternoon is nap, renewing our energy for the evening hunt. Of course, around here, I don’t have to hunt very far. Some nice person comes around about 6:30 with a trayful of good meaty food and leaves me a dish full. When you adopt me, I suppose you’ll do the same. But, just in case, I should need to revert to my heritage and head out to strike down an antelope, I think I’ll continue napping.”
“Yes, I’m a sturdy peach tabby guy with white feet and big pink pads on my white feet. Yes, they do clash a bit with my peachness, but my handsome charm is what you’ll notice most. I have a well-designed white bib that frames my aristocratic face. It’s well-washed, too – wash it myself 3 – 4 times a day.”
“I have very short hair; when you pet me, you will feel solid cat muscle exuding solid cat energy. It will please you. It will soothe you. You will sense the presence of my power that calms and protects. I will purr. I am good with small people as well as bigger ones. Not much rattles me. I’d prefer not to encounter vacuum cleaners, but I’ve heard that a Roomba could be fun.”

Just tell all the people that Garrick is a fine cat, an excellent cat, who will bring sturdy serenity into his people’s lives. Garrick is a good man. He naps. He likes to nap.
