“Do you fall in love with big, regal, handsome guy cats? Step right up, then, and fall in love. Here I am – dreamboat Leon, exotic Leon, wise Leon. Me! Take a look! Clearly, one or more Siamese in my family tree – along with some tabbies. Exotic I am. Not to mention a regular work of art. Lovely blue eyes, yes. But check out this tail – see? Well-ringed, well-striped – but tan, not ordinary old grey or black! Step right up and fall in love. If you’re worthy, I’ll fall in love back!”

“It’s not just that I am wise. I am thoughtful. I may have been a Talmudic scholar in a previous life. I seem to remember writing commentaries on scriptures. I am still a serious fellow, but I’d prefer not to work so hard in this life. I could do with a little lounging around on your fine furniture and looking regal. Looking regal while napping – Leon’s expertise.”

“Let me tell you something most people don’t know. Cats are smart. Cats talk to each other. Cats pay attention to the important things. So, there I was, in December – cold – no home – wandering. And I heard from my fellow felines (we invented Twitter long before you humans did) that I should just go this way – and then a little bit that way – and walk up on this porch and sit down. Because, said the tweets, people live there who will feed you – and – one of them chairs the board of something called Feline Rescue. That’s right – of all the places Leon could have wandered, he wandered straight up onto the porch of – yeehaw – Feline Rescue’s chair. Is Leon smart? Are all cats smart? Well, I guess so!”

“So, here is Leon – thoughtful, regal, wise – not terribly fond of other cats. Leon prefers to be a king in his own realm, no squabbly princes to interfere. Here is Leon – a year or two old – looking for love and hoping he’s in the right place. Leon is big and handsome and exotic and wise. And he still only asks $120 to take him to your home. Would you? Would you please?”
