Can we please play some more?

“Oh, wow! A person! A person who wants to see me! Very cool. Very happy. Let me stretch out, wake up, show you how thrilled I am to see you – and let you see me. I’m young – maybe 6 months – and I’m orange – orange tabby, aka a Dreamsicle cat. I’m as sweet as can be, and I am stretching again just to be sure you’ll notice that I’m getting bigger with every stretch. Going to be a big guy – a dude – working on it!”

“I’m told I was walking around with some other cats and no visible sign of a home. But I’m about as far from feral as a cat can get. All I want is at least one person who’ll hold me, pet me, talk to me about good things – like food and toys and people toes for me to sniff. Life in the streets is tough. OK, I’ve got street creds, but I’m not interested in using them. I’m interested in curling up in a round orange shape and slumbering away on a soft bed.”

“Time to stretch myself out again. Do I seem longer than before? Did you notice my distinctive white bib and white belly? They’re my happy secrets. Also my bright eyes and long legs – getting longer, yes I am. Such a young fellow I am for someone who writes symphonies. Actually, I made that up – thought you’d find it more interesting than just cute, playful guy cat. But I’m that as well.”

“Truth be told, I think I have better hair than the original Beethoven. Not nearly so wild and not nearly so fluffy, either. But I do like music. Do you like music? If you played a Beethoven symphony in my honor, I’d be both pleased and impressed. Let’s play. Let’s dance. I can conduct an orchestra with my tail if you’d like. What I’d mostly like would be for you to adopt me! Take me home! Love me up! Watch me stretch and grow, grow and stretch. I’m told all you need is $120. I’m a harmonious bargain….”
