I’m Hawkeye. I was previously posted as Hawthorne, but my foster mom renamed me to something I think is much cooler. Because I really am pretty cool! She says I look a little bit like a hawk too – slightly pointy nose and very intense eyes. My eyes are intense because I am always thinking – thinking about how happy I am to be out of the foreclosed home where I used to live with many, many other cats who were all left without food or water. All of us have now been rescued by Feline Rescue volunteers, which is such a relief.

I currently live in a foster home with two others from the same house, Ebony and Tucker. We all get along just fine, but I am ready for a permanent home now, maybe even with Ebony who has come to be my good friend.  I’ve got to warn you though that I really, really love to play … I would play all the time if I could! While my background has caused me to be shy around new people, it doesn’t take long at all for me to warm up, and once I do, I love to hang out with them. And if I can get them to play with me, even better! I have now even started to really enjoy being petted. In fact, next to playing and eating, being petted is my favorite thing!
