"You Like Me!"

“Oh, my! Give me just a minute to wake myself up. Oh, my – a person, a person talking to me – Bella Donna! Oh! I remember what Sally Field said a while back, ‘You like me, right now, you like me!’ This gentle round grey tabby woman thinks you like her. Oh, my! It’s been a while.”

“My forever person loved and cherished me and my mom Kia. She was wonderfully sweet and kind. And then she crossed the big Rainbow bridge. I know all the kitties on the other side are loving her as I did. Now I must find a new forever person on this side. Would you like to be my new person? Maybe even the forever person for me and my mom Kia?”

“Oh, wow, you like me! I roll out of my bed and over to give you kitty nuzzles. I knead my bed. I knead the floor even. We cats knead when we are happy. The happier we are, the more we knead. The more we need, the happier we get. I think I could be loved again. I think I could love back again. Oh, my! I am suddenly so happy that I think I’ll eat my food.”

“I’m only a couple of years old, and I am hoping for a long and happy future. I like being happy. I miss my person. She made me feel happy. My life has been good, not scary and sad like those of some of the other cats here. I tell them life as a cat can be so good with the right people. I hope to continue my good life with the right people for me. You know, Bella Donna means ‘beautiful woman’ in Italian. Please like me! Please consider me! Consider Kia, too. $120 to take me home; $230 to take us both home.”
