I think I know what's missing in your life! I don't think you have a sweet, mellow, purring 102% black lady with elegant pointed ears and a fine tail in your world. And since that's exactly who I am, I believe you need me - Abigail - for the best life ever for both of us. Abigail - a name both old-fashioned and new-fashioned. So old it's new, as people say. I am all that - quite old-fashioned in my lady manners, quite new-fashioned in my sleek black dress.

And like one of my namesakes, Abigail Adams, I do have opinions. I don't care for raucous stuff - especially not large raucous stuff like that great big mostly orange used to be tom cat who keeps staring at me. People and cats with manners do not stare at each other, do we? I am quite mellow - will softly purr with gentle humans - and I do think you're just my type. Might even let you stare at me. Might even sit in your lap - you never know.

At my foster home, I was fine and friendly with a golden retriever, so it's not about size. It's about manners - and goldens are much too friendly to waste their time with bad manners. In other words, happy dogs - fine with me! Riotous rudeness from any beings - not fine!

A little more of my story: you'll probably notice that I don't move very quickly. No one will mistake Abigail for a small panther. I'm not injured or in pain, and I wouldn't even notice that I'm a little slow and unsteady at times - except that people mention it - and riotous critters seem to be able to catch me. Probably why I'd just as soon they're not in my space. The vets have thoroughly vetted me - and I'm good to go. I am pleased. But, for you, kind, wonderful soon to be my human, here's the good part: I am a perfectly healthy and loving cat who won't:  1) Jump up on the shelf and knock over priceless family heirlooms; 2) Go flying up and down the stairs and trip you when you're only half awake; 3) Leap to the kitchen counter and splash in your soup.

Abigail is here, waiting and purring and sending feline vibrations that you will soon arrive with $100 and take me home forever to bring gentleness and lady-ness and charm and all-round love into your world. Please stop by, won't you?

PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
