Very pleased to meet you. I’m a small, well-mannered black young woman with a magic eye. I’ve met other cats with one blue eye and one green eye and such, but I’m told I’m truly rare – to have two colors in one eye. Some say that, way back when, about the time Stonehenge was built, there were cats like me who really could do magic with their special eyes. Good magic only – like finding things that had been lost, healing young sprites and fairies who had tripped on logs, and, occasionally – so they say – helping people to move large, heavy stones.
I still have the old magic, and I weave it well. I’ve come to focus less on moving stones and more on moving hearts. I spread charm and love and a bit of household peace wherever I might be. I give you my adoring look and speak quietly but firmly as a queen should. Softly – softly now. And I can purr. I come to investigate you. Do you feel the magic? Yes, I was here a couple of years ago. I went home with a dear person who loved me, but, last month, she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She said, “Queenie, go back to Feline Rescue. They will lead you to another good person.”
Queen, I think, suits me better than Queenie. But some woman in England – Elizabeth – is already called Queen. Also a band – Queen. I Googled Queen – got 216,000,000 hits – and the domain name is long gone. So, OK, Queenie – it’s not totally regal, but it’s a lovable, affectionate name for a lovable, affectionate little cat girl, with a solid touch of the old magic. (Harry Potter is an amateur!)
I seriously hope you just might want a small, charming, magic woman in your life – one that doesn’t take up a lot of space – and doesn’t eat everything in sight, either. In other words, I keep a small carbon footprint; that’s proper these days, I’m told. I know – I’m a carbon-colored cat – but my feet are really little. What a dreadful sense of humor….
So could I come home with you and investigate your place? I do like to investigate. Sniff around – peer in corners – see what I can do with my cat magic when I sit very still and stare. Might move a stone or two. Can’t leave them unturned. The big question: Could I please come home with you? I’m almost royal, and I’m charming. A small $100 gets a small, lovable, affectionate cat Queenie straight into your life. And a little very good magic.
PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
