Let's just get this issue out on the table and out of the way: I'm funny-looking. I will now take out my violin and play you my sad, sad story. I was a tiny kitten. I got lost. I lived in Minnesota. It was winter. You know about winter in Minnesota, don't you? I got frostbit. In other words, my ears froze. So did part of my tail. But I trudged onward - brave, stout of heart, and determined to make it. I came out of the woods, a scrawny little guy. I saw people; they saw me. They took me in, saved my life. I only weighed 4 pounds - less than a pot roast! But the veterinarian and the people fed me, and I grew up. Unfortunately, my ears and part of my tail - well, let's not pussyfoot - they fell off.
Are you crying yet? Well, don't - because I'm certainly not. I may be funny-looking, but I am the most spirited, imaginative, carefree guy ever. You won't cry long - about anything - with Paco in your life - because I am here, on this planet, to make sure everyone laughs. With me, not at me. Yes, I laugh - I really do. Why? Because I'm playing. Just sit back, relax, and watch. I have rounded up every little round ball I can find. Oh, yes! We're going to play pool. I am the cue. Whack! goes the first ball - whack! into the second one - whack! - they all go rolling. And they've disappeared - they've gone under the cabinet. Fear not! The Great Paco flattens himself and goes under and, Whack! Here they come - all back out again for game two.
I laugh, laugh, laugh! I'm high on happiness - and little crackly balls. Zowee! Did you notice my big eyes? Looking straight at you? I think we should go to your place and play. Did you notice the perfect tiger stripes on my speedy tabby legs? Admire them, please. My best feature, I say. As soon as you stop laughing, you're going to take me home. I know you will. We're going to play pool; we're going to play everything. And when I'm all worn out, Great Paco will flatten himself into your lap. Zowee! Please contribute $100 so Feline Rescue can buy new toys for the other cats. I'm afraid I've been a bit hard on the current supply.
PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
