“I have sleek, short fur, and I like nothing more than climbing people except, maybe, flying around. Did I mention that I’m cute? Have you noticed that I’m cute? Have you noticed that I’m climbing you and whispering soft Benji purrs in your ear? Are you sure you didn’t invite me to chew on your hair? I am so tempted to do that. Aweee! Yes, I’ve noticed that there are some other cats here. That’s fine – just so long as you realize that Benji is the guy who matters. I am Benji, and I am the guy who matters!”

“The official word is that I came direct to Feline Rescue from animal control. I know, you’ve seen me doing my thing, and you’ve thought to yourself, ‘Oh, yes, that cat needs some controlling.’ No, I just need love and food and things to climb and stuff to explore because that’s how it is when one is a cat. Go ahead, watch me move about. Giggle to yourself and think, ‘This Benji guy is so cute!’  I’m black, I’m white, and I am so cute!”

“Will you wait for me while I inspect this bathroom? I am a certified bathroom inspector. Also a certified kitchen inspector. And food inspector. If it needs inspecting, Benji puts his nose to the corners and inspects. Something on this shelf – clearly needs to be knocked to the floor! Aweee! Oh, I am Benji, and I am the inspector cat, and I think you should take me right on home to inspect your place. Yes!”

“But, of course, I’m cuddly. It’s just that you have to catch me first before you can cuddle me. But if you succeed, I will purr, and I might even give you a friendly teenage boy cat squeak. Squeak! Meek! Aroo!”

“Adopt me, take me home, let me control you – ‘cause I will, you know. I’m adorable, I’m funny, I’m amusing. Just show up with $120, and we’ll go to your place forever – and Benji will, because he can, terrorize the toilet.”
