They were out looking for fine furry people to control again!”

“I don’t know if my old humans had good laps or not, but I’m old enough now to appreciate laps. I also still appreciate toys – and really good food. Prissy grammarians make a fuss about whether to spell my name ‘sherbert’ or ‘sherbet’. I say you can call me anything, as long as you call me, especially when dinner is ready and breakfast is served.”

“You can call me anything you’d like – even Ice Cream – if you’ll adopt me, take me home, pet me, love me, and realize that I’m as sweet and delicious as Sherbert should be. I’m kind and mellow and not totally fond of some of these other cats. That black and white guy – circles around and stares at me. True – I have a stunning face and may be worth staring at – but I’d so rather he didn’t. If you become my person, my people, you may stare at me – especially with love and affection.
