“Greetings, you fine human, you! I’m Quebec, and I’m a Cat! A Real Cat! I’m white and orange. People say I’m perky. I probably am. I am also lively and curious. I came from the far side of town through the auspices of animal control – seems to have happened to a lot of furry folks around here. We are not complaining. We like the food. We also like the people. What I’m looking for is some people of my own. My very own people!”

“One honest truth – I’ve tested positive for FIV. I’m not sick, not likely to be sick. People can’t catch it, and the only way another cat might catch it is if I bite them. And I’m not into biting. I’m into loving and investigating and putting my paws on you and saying, ‘Am I not just the cutest thing?’ I like my roomie, Van Gogh. He’s also orange and white, older than me, I think. I might even like roomie Edna, if she’d ever come down from that box. Now she’s one who thinks inside the box!”

“I’m a curious fellow. If it moves, I watch it. I study it. Today has been a busy day for watching. The litter man parade went by. Guy after guy, toting bags, pushing carts. I watched them come in, watched them go out. Too bad they didn’t bring the band this time. I like music. I also watch busses out on the street. Sometimes, they stop, and people come out of them. I wave. I say, ‘I’m here! I’m Quebec! Adopt me!’

“No, I don’t speak French. The only thing Quebec speaks is Cat. Why am I named for French-speaking Canada? Because I arrived with an old T-shirt that said, ‘Bon jour, monsieur’ and had a maple leaf on it. Seems to me I found it in a dumpster in Duluth. That Cajun fellow in the back room tried to start up a conversation in Creole. I don’t speak Creole, either. Just Cat. I’m speaking Cat to you, hoping you’ll say that you’re adopting me! $120 for a forever cat with a sparkling personality and a great imagination. I am Quebec!”

If you'd like to know more about me, just stop in at the Adoption Center to meet me or leave a message for my human assistant at 651-642-5900 ext. 3. She'll call you back.
