Keep Petting Me. I Will Keep Purring!

“Hi, I’m a little tabby, short and stout, this is my handle, this is my spout. Well, OK, not so stout and not necessarily a teapot, either. But I’m young, about 1 year, and I’m so soft and so sweet. A little bit shy, but definitely not a permanent wallflower. Many, too many, interesting things and beings in the world to just sit in a corner and think cat thoughts. Come talk to me of cabbages and kings and tuna and catnip.”

“Why, you’re a real human – not just a big piece of cardboard in a corner! If I roll over toward you, will you come toward me and pet my little tabby head? I think you might! I like people who pet my head. Did you notice I’m purring? I’m good at purring. I mean, I’m serious about it, and I do it loudly. Keep petting. I will keep purring.”

“People tell me that I’m sweet and peaceful. Someone told me that I curl my tail – a fairly long one for such a small cat – like a coatimundi. I don’t want to admit that I’m not sure what a coatimundi is. I hope it likes me! Oh, they have tabby tails? Long, tabby tails? Must be good beings. Not sure I want to share my munchies with them, though.”

“I have soft pink pads on my little tabby feet for walking softly across your floors and heading to my food dish. I think I was a “stray cat”, and I know I’d like to have my very own food dish. One that says ‘Sarah!’ in big bright red letters. And always has good food in it.
