Fannie Mae adores her mother, Perdy, so it's important that these two beautiful black tabbies go home together!
Fannie Mae's mother Perdy was abandoned by someone whose house was foreclosed. She came to Feline Rescue with some cuts and scrapes – and a litter of three kittens. (She later adopted Penelope, an orphaned kitten, as one of her own.) Perdy most likely had a very rough start to her life. As a result, she was very protective of her kittens and not at all inclined to accept any snuggles or love. But, through it all, though, Perdy was a wonderful and patient mother to her kittens. Perdy's kittens are now well into adolescence, and Perdy, too, has re-claimed her youth. She has also come to really like her foster mom, and often asks for attention.
Fannie Mae is Perdy's "Mini Me". And she's absolutely adorable. Fannie Mae has taken Perdy's lead and enjoys the companionship of her foster mom. She will very quietly ask for snuggles from her foster mom. Her foster mom is confident that she will come into her own in her forever home.
