Oneida had kittens outside in the spring. Kind neighbors kept them fed and were able to catch the whole family and care for them until a foster home could be found. Oneida and her kitten Emily are now looking for a home together. They have come a long way.
Oneida (Mama-cat) is a pretty calm cat. She doesn't like to be touched—yet—but she will cautiously eat from her foster mom's lap. She likes to play and will run around with Emily and the other cat in the house. Mostly though, she just enjoys relaxing, and especially looking out a window. She is not a big dog fan but tolerates the resident dog with a harmless hiss.
Oneida is beautiful. At first glance, she looks like a regular brown tabby. But look closer and you'll see that has some unique spots on her hind legs, almost like she is part Bengal!
Daughter Emily (or Baby-cat) is so much fun to watch, and she is a little bit of a trouble maker. She likes to climb as you can see in one of the pictures. She also thinks it's fun to find little things on the counter or table and knock them onto the floor. She is a little rascal—but a cute one! She will rub against your ankles while you prep her dinner or while you get ready for work in the morning. Once she trusts you, she likes to be petted. She LOVES toys. She goes crazy for the feather wands. She is a soft kitty, with almost bunny-like fur and beautiful markings.
Emily and Oneida are scared of new people so require patience in a new home. But after a while they will be out and about and running around entertaining themselves and you too. While they may be cuddly someday, they don't really cuddle with people or each other. They are too busy entertaining. So they are the perfect cats for someone who wants cats that hang out but that aren't too needy.ant cats that are too needy.
