May I have your attention, please? There is a small black Cat Woman here. She is sticking her paws out to people. She says her name is Zimba, and she needs a home, and she needs one now. She talks a lot. She doesn’t know where she got her name, but she likes it. She likes people even better. Here, I’ll let her tell her own story.
As my agent said, I’m small and I’m black. I have genuine bright yellow Hallowe’en cat eyes, which is why I won’t be available to join you at your home until after All Hallows Eve. But I would certainly like to work up a contract with you before then, so we don’t waste any time getting me out of here. I’ve been hearing the “black is beautiful” mantra around here a lot. As far as I’m concerned, black may be beautiful – but, mostly, black is just plain darn Cute. Very Cute.
Let me show you – legs and paws all stretched out over your shoulder – then I turn and give you my Special Look. Black is Cute. Black is Me – Zimba.
Someone called me stray. I heard that. I am not stray. I am focused. I am focused on you, and I want out of here. Yes, the people are great, and the food is good. But there are entirely too many other Cat People here, all claiming to be Cute, Beautiful, Handsome, Wise, and who knows what. I am the only Zimba – and the Only Very Cute. Please bring $100 and work out a good contract with the people so I can go with you and be cute, cute, cute. And beautiful. And sweet. Why not?
PS: I currently reside at THE SHELTER (not in foster care). If you can't stop in but would like to know more about me, please call 651-642-5900, ext.3. Thanks!
