Sharae and Serengeti (Seri) aren’t sisters, but they might as well be. They have lived together in foster care for about a year now, and are frequently found together, sleeping or grooming. Their golden colors are perfectly complementary – Sharae being the classical mostly white calico with orange and black (striped) patches, and Seri a very unusual and stunning lynx torbie, meaning that her ticked gold and black stripes are mixed up together to suggest a lynx-like gold coat. Both cats were rescued from dire conditions as kittens – Sharae as the only remaining kitten from her litter on the Red Lake Indian Reservation, and Seri found wandering alone in a rural area outside the Twin Cities. They both now prefer the life of the urban house-cat, with plenty to eat on a regular basis and their own special human(s) to hang out with.
If you’ve ever met a calico cat, you’ll know what we are talking about when we say that these girls have strong personalities. Both are exceedingly companionable. Sharae is the official greeter in her foster home, meeting guests at the door and staying in on the conversation. Seri has a special patented side flop that she performs at your feet to indicate that it is time to pet her. They get along great with each other, but alas, have less than no desire to meet another cat. That’s just the way calicos are.
Are you looking for the perfect pair of well-mannered young adult cats to fill the void in your cat-less home? Look no further – your Golden Girls await.
Sharae was born approximately 3/34/2007, and Serengeti about 6/7/2007. They have both been spayed and microchipped, and have up-to-date immunizations. They are in FOSTER CARE, so for more information on them please contact Cathy at 651.230.3263.
Their adoption fee is $100 each.
