Good morning fellow human! I’m Sashimi, a stripey, gray kitten, not a piece of fish. Though I guess my stripes could make me look a little bit like a fish. Me and my two sisters, Nori and Maki, are the sushi kittens. Just like a lot of other kittens, I love to play and explore. Though compared to my siblings, I’m a little more reserved, but that doesn’t say much because my sisters are really pretty crazy! And by that, I mean they’ll zoom about the room for hours on end. For me, I’ll play for hours on end, but I won’t crazily zoom about the room . . . usually. And of course, I love toys! Ping pong balls and catnip toys are great, as are paper bag handles and other toys that foster mom brings into the room when she’s here. One of my favorite toys are paper bags. I’ll hide in them and wait for one of my siblings to walk by so I can ambush her. Sometimes they’re too busy dancing on the table with a toy, so I have to wait a while. If they really won’t come, then I’ll have to sneak out and find them so I can pounce on them and have a wrestling match.
I’m also proud to say I’m the best jumper of the group. When foster mom brings in the piece of fabric on the end of the stick — which me and my sisters go crazy for, especially Nori — it’ll sometimes hop onto the table. Nori and Maki are the ones who will usually be chasing it at that time, and they’ll take flying leaps to follow it. Sadly for them, they will usually end up crashing into the table and falling on the ground. Hehe, it’s pretty funny, and don’t worry, us kittens are really resilient. Now me, being the more graceful kitten, I’ll take a leap up and land daintily on the table. Then, I’ll get a few seconds to have the toy to myself before my sisters make it up to the table successfully.
I’m also the most affectionate of my siblings. I’m not one to enjoy being held and smothered, but I do like to get petted, especially when foster mom first walks into the room. I’ll sometimes even purr and roll around for her, and some days, I’ll sit in her lap. Maki will do that, too, but most of the time, she’s too busy chasing after her toys. One other thing I really like is the window. I’ll sit in the windowsill and watch all those weird animals run by and lift my nose to sniff the outside air. Sometimes, I’ll be in front of the window, and I will sit up on my back legs like a gopher. I’m really good at that, and I’ll do it to sniff at a toy above me, too!
Do you need some sushi in your house? Me and my siblings are probably the cutest sushi you’ve ever seen! (Sorry, but most sushi aren’t very cute.) Also, we’re the kind of sushi that you can have a good time with for years, while you can usually only enjoy most sushi for a few minutes. So come pay me a visit, and I bet you’ll fall in love. I’d love to be adopted with my one (or both) of my sisters, Maki or Nori. Two sushi is better than one, right?
Come visit me in my foster home. I'd love to meet you.
