I’m Huckleberry, named after Huckleberry Finn.  I am rambunctious but also very sweet.  I love to play with toys, my siblings, and anything else intriguing I can find.  One of my favorite activities is getting a ride in an empty tissue box.  I’ll hunker down in it while you push me around the room.  Not falling out is one of my talents, unlike my sister, Raspberry, who can’t quite get the hang of staying in.  If you line up a bunch of boxes in a row, I will hop into every single one.  What am I going to do when I get too big?  I guess I’ll have to find some extra-large-tissues!  If you adopt me, get some tissue boxes and grow a bigger nose — that will solve my problem when I get too big!  I also love people . . . when I’m not busy playing.  I check out any new visitors and will take a nap in your lap; laps are the best bed, after all.  When I’m all tuckered out after playing, I will curl up in your lap for a nap.  I also love belly rubs and gazing fondly up at your face.

I have my very own special pair of big-boy undies.  It’s actually a patch of white on my belly which looks exactly like a pair of underpants.  But who cares, they are just like underwear!  My sister, Mulberry, has a “pair” too, but hers are a little smaller.  My “undies” were the original way my foster caregivers could tell me apart from the rest of my siblings.

I’ve been known to chase my tail in circles, just like a dog.  I will also mew at my foster caregiver, so she can lift me up to look out the window.  It’s even more interesting when the window’s open and a screen is the only thing separating me from the outside world.  I also mew when I fancy petting.   I love catnip, but I go a bit too crazy, so my foster caregiver doesn’t recommend giving it to me, unless you want a little growly kitten darting around your house with catnip toys in his mouth.

I am a Mama’s boy, I will admit proudly.  I’ll do anything for some licks or even better, some milk from my mother, Berry.  She’ll even play with me, when she’s in the mood.  I’d be a very happy boy if I were adopted with her.  Otherwise, I would love to be adopted with one of my siblings, especially my sister Raspberry, or my sister, Mulberry.  And, if you want three kitties in your house, adopt all three, or two of us and Berry!

Huckleberry is a young kitten and will need to go to a home where there is another young cat or be adopted with one of his siblings (check out Raspberry or Mulberry) or his momma Berry so that he has a playmate. For more information about Huckleberry, please call Joan at 651-705-6264.
